My body is a map
Of all the places it’s been
Of all the people it’s seen
…………………………………..
The veins in my palm tell a story,
But you don’t need to be clairvoyant to hear it
My body is a flight of stairs
I hate going up
I hate going down
I hate staying in the middle
So I just walk about
Looking for a corner I won’t hate
………………………………………..
The scars on my body tell a story
The more you hold me the more horrifying it gets
My body is a piece of the universal puzzle
But it got pushed aside *accidentally
And now instead I’m stuck under the carpet
Missing
Trying to find the puzzle i fit in
……………………………….
If i had more room
Will you come and live with me?
My body is a maze
No wonder i feel so lost
Trying to find reasons to face you
Body, if only i could replace you
……………………………
My heart isn’t as big as the shell
But it’s a good excuse I tell
My body is my foe
We can’t find a common gown, or is it ground?
No wonder i have so many cages
She’s my slave, but I’m hardly her master
……………………..
My body is a weapon, one that can only be wielded against me
We’re at war, we just don’t know it yet
