The Other Person

I think it’s strange that i had to google “important invention from the early 2000’s”

It’s strange because I have an iPhone on my hand, currently typing this out,

My laptop is on my bed, and a YouTube video about making tiny foods is playing on the screen.

And yet I didn’t think to mention either of those three things.

In a way, I won’t say it’s strange so much as it being true

Technology feels like it has always existed, i feel too young to have been born before YouTube and Facebook.

I have always held an opinion on my life being under the rock

I do not know trends, or “inventions” I just found out this morning about the Grammy Awards

I’m supposed to be part of the Generation Z and yet I’m neither tech savvy nor style crazy

I’m just someone who googles everything i hear, including “inventions”

Because I really do not know, and it’s strange because i know so much, and yet so little about what is happening around me.
